and so now this time comes
when the shadows
flee the scene
undetected by brightest eyes
under
above
so we go
under
above
so we go
this is the way to heaven isn't it?
"if ever a wiz there was because, because , because
because of the wonderful things he does"
i left you this morning
with a tear in my eye
not able to tell you
all the reasons why
you were lying so peacefully
i didn't want to wake you
so i closed the door
but not before i kissed you sweetly
leaving you in the soft sound
i turned to meet the sunrise
and left behind what would
have always been a love of why's
under
above
so we go
under
above
so we go
it snowed that night
before thanksgiving
a shallow surprise
for we had planned
on walking
into the sunrise
a way of remembering
all those things
we left behind
and giving thanks
to all we have today
you said "it's okay
i'll walk in the snow
with you any day"
how could i have known
how could i foresee
we passed me walking
back to the beginning
i smiled at myself politely
then looked down
to make certain
yes, the bricks were yellow
and the road goes to your heart
under
above
so we go
under
above
so we go
my sweet
wherever it may be
as long as
you are by my side
there truly is
"no place like home"
when the shadows
flee the scene
undetected by brightest eyes
under
above
so we go
under
above
so we go
this is the way to heaven isn't it?
