Tranquil

don't release that tear without me
keep it locked in the corner of your eye
nearer to the fear than your persistent youth would believe
i am within the walls of this purgatory you call your heart
moving in slow motion at the speed of your own nightmare
do you recall the pictures taken in the dawn of a whisper
the whisper of my oncoming shadow

photos of your tranquil waters
seal the fate of these dreams you pretend to live

don't release that tear without me
keep it just under the surface of the water
silently stalking your precious time
one day you will dive deep enough to find me
waiting for the communion of pain you secretly long to touch
the whisper is watching you and remembering a night we shared

photos of your tranquil waters
seal the fate of these dreams you pretend to live
